Buckden Walkers - Dates & Pictures

The walking season has started again with an excellent if somewhat damp walk to Rylstone Cross & Barden Fell - click here for pictures. Details of May Walks - including the road test of the new "Evening Stroll" concept are as follows:

Monday 5th May

Location: Semer Water - a circular walk, from Bainbridge.
Distance: Approximately 6 miles
Meet: Outside Buck Inn for departure by 10:30 a.m.
Transport can be provided.
Bring a picnic lunch or a tea room stop at Stalling Busk.

Wednesday 14th May

Location: A cicular walk, centered on the 'Cross Keys' at East Marton, on the A59, 5ml. west of Skipton.
Distance: 3ml., taking approx. 1hr 30 mins.
Meet: At the Cross Keys, in time to depart at 6:30 p.m.
We suggest you place your food order at the bar before starting the walk.

Depart Buckden at 5:45 p.m. ~ transport can be provided.
Non Walkers ~ meets us in the pub.

Sunday 18th May
The Crackpots Mosaic Trail


An easy to moderate 6.5 ml. walk, starting high on the moors, searching out the 22 mosaics
through moorland and woodland on good tracks and paths.

Bring a packed lunch. Possible pre-lunch pub stop.

Meet outside The Buck Inn at 9:45 a.m.
Approx. 50 min. scenic drive to start point 6 miles out of Pately Bridge.
Car share available.

If time allows we can have a short stop on the return journey to take a look at
Toft Gate Continuous Burn Lime Kiln.
