Sunday 21st October

An autumn circular walk through Grass Wood and back to Grassington beside the river.   Distance about five miles. This walk is featured in The Dalesman this month and is described as a leisurely stroll although it felt a bit more effort than that to us! 

Meet outside the Buck at 10.30 am for transport or make your own way to the National Park Centre car park in Grassington for 11 am start. All are welcome, residents and visitors alike – you will need to bring a picnic lunch.

The wood is one of the few remnants of ancient woodland which used to cover the Dales before agricultural use transformed the landscape.
