Buckden Christmas
Lights Competition 2007
Rules
- For Entry Categories - see
entry form
- Only one category may be entered per
household
- Definitions:
-
"Flashing Lights" - are those in which the display is interrupted for a
period greater than
0.5 seconds in any one minute period
- "Non Flashing Lights" - are those which do not
flash
- Any other lights are probably broken
- Where a display comprises both flashing and non-flashing light sets,
it is almost certainly excessively ostentatious - however for the
purposes of the competition it will be deemed to be a "Flashing"
display.
- Additional marks will be awarded for:
- Understated elegance
- "Green" displays (low electricity consumption)
- Accompanying the entry form with a suitable festive donation
- Being the Adjudicator
No competitor is permitted to have a
better display than the Chief Adjudicator
The Adjudicators decision is final
The Adjudicator has the right to change the rules as and when he
sees fit
There is no
regional dimension to this year's competition. Competitors who attempt
to introduce a regional dimension will be summarily disqualified.
