Christian Aid Week - 2007

Working with some of the world's poorest communities in more than 50 countries, Christian Aid invests in projects that multiply resources and provide benefits for years to come - helping people to improve their own lives, whatever their race or religion.

Taking action where the need is greatest, helping people to tackle the problems they face and build the life they deserve, Christian Aid continues to campaign to change the structures that keep people poor, challenging inequality and injustice.

But you don't make poverty history in a year - real change rarely comes easily.

However, we can help to make a difference - each one of us - if we give as much as we can during Christian Aid Week 13 - 19 May 2007.

Christian Aid is determined to help people to find their own way out of poverty and each year an estimated 300,000 volunteers collect door to door. Last year more than £10 million was raised towards this work.

Please consider completing the 'giftaid' declaration on the envelope if you are a tax payer…………the government will add nearly 30% at no extra cost to yourself. Last year our contribution, which amounted to £1216.38p, was increased to £1440.63p because 48 people were able to sign the 'tax back form'.

Can we improve on that this year? Please look out for the red envelope - a collector will call.
