Buck Inn to re-open 29th July - Message from the new Landlords

We are delighted to announce that The Buck Inn will re-open on Friday 29th July 2011 at 6pm!! Well, we've certainly been kept busy chatting to so many of you who have been kind enough to stop by as we've been chopping ivy (thank you for the loan of the ladder!) or trimming back bushes or painting doors! By way of introduction the three of us are Barry, Phil and Geoff. Phil and Geoff will be running the Buck whilst Barry stays at our sister pub near Selby.
We are very excited about realising the potential of this once great establishment and providing a warm, friendly and welcoming hostelry to villagers, tourists and frankly everybody who walks through our doors! We have already received such a warm welcome from so many people that we are sure The Buck will once again become the place to visit! Quite honestly we cannot wait to open our doors on Friday and meet more of you and we hope that you'll all be able to pop down at some point to sample some of the great real ales and wines we've selected or try the teas, coffees and soft drinks available.
Our new chef Chris has been working tirelessly to get his kitchen in tip-top form and he'll be serving up a selection of lunchtime and evening bar snacks and steaks from the grill from Saturday 30th July onwards! We are still working on our restaurant and we'll be sure to let you know as soon as it is ready to open!
We are determined to make the Buck Inn the heart and soul of the Village once again and we look forward to becoming involved in as many activities of this stunning slice of the Dales as we can.
Once again we would all like to thank you for your warm welcomes so far and your
patience while we worked to get the Buck re-opened. We truly hope we are here
for many, many years to come and that we can provide a facility that you, the
local community can be proud of!
Barry, Phil & Geoff.
