Buckden Walkers make it to Kettlewell

On the 6th August, Buckden walkers set out from Starbotton to tackle the challenging route to Kettlewell. Spurning the easy “Dalesway” route, the intrepid walkers took the “Moor End Traverse”  route, as can be seen from the view below. Arriving at Kettlewell, the walkers were met by the support team from base camp who had thoughtfully booked a table for lunch. It is noticeable that the ratio of “time spent walking” to “time spent in pub” has been subtly changing over recent weeks, and indeed that some “walkers” have discovered that by driving to the pub, they can maximise the “time spent in pub” and ensure that no time is wasted in walking.
