Buckden Singers is a four part community choir based in the tiny  Yorkshire Dales village of Buckden, in Upper Wharfedale.

Founded in 2007, when a group of a dozen friends formed a singing group, meeting in a villagerís sitting room, the choir has rapidly expanded to more than 40 members, from Buckden and surrounding villages.

The choir, which rehearses weekly, ranges in age from 10 to 80. The Singers welcome members from all areas and   includes one fifth of the population of Buckden.

Buckden Singers apperared in the ITV1 series  "The Dales" with Ade Edmondson. Buckden Singers have also featured on BBC Radio 3's "Meet my Choir" slot.

Buckden Singers will be singing on three occasions over the Christmas period. Please do come along to any or all of these and join with us in singing well known carols and songs.

St Margaret Clitherow, Threshfield, Sunday 9th December, 3.00pm: a traditional Advent Carol Service with festive refreshments.

Buckden Village Institute, Saturday 15th December, 7.30pm: a Christmas Concert with a varied mix of carols and festive songs and entertainment: refreshments included*

St Michaelís, Hubberholme, Sunday 30th December, 7.00 pm: Carols by Candlelight: refreshments will be served
